What can I send?

We arrange shipments of personal belongings and household goods, such as clothing, books, shoes and bed linen. Acceptance depends on the contents, destination and transport service, so tell us exactly what you plan to send before booking.

We do not accept batteries, perfume, spray bottles or aerosols. This includes power banks and batteries fitted inside devices. Please check with us before sending electrical goods, liquids or other potentially hazardous items.

Describe your contents in your quote request so we can confirm whether they are suitable for your chosen route.

Which countries do you deliver to?

We arrange parcel and cargo shipments from the UK to destinations worldwide. Availability depends on the destination, goods and service required; please confirm your route with us before sending anything.

Request a quote with the collection postcode, destination, contents, and the weight and dimensions of each packed parcel. We will email you a personalised quote and advise on the available delivery options.

Ask us to confirm the estimated delivery time and what the quote includes before booking.

Can I send fragile items?

Fragile items may be accepted, depending on the item and route. Contact us before booking glassware, porcelain, musical instruments or other easily damaged goods.

Use a strong outer box, protect each item separately and fill empty spaces so the contents cannot move. We can discuss packing materials or a packing service and quote for any additional work.

Good packaging reduces the risk of damage but cannot eliminate it. Damage or loss claims are reviewed case by case. Please discuss the applicable service terms with us before confirming your shipment.

Please report any damage within 24 hours of receiving your goods. Contact us with your shipment reference and photographs of the goods and their inner and outer packaging. Keep the packaging while we investigate.

Do you offer a packing service?

Yes. Packing materials and a packing service can be arranged for an additional fee. Tell us what you are sending and provide photographs or measurements where helpful, so we can advise on suitable packaging and confirm the cost.

If you pack the goods yourself, use strong boxes and suitable cushioning, seal them securely and remove old delivery labels. Measure and weigh each parcel after packing.

Packing and shipment cover are separate matters. Please ask us to confirm any available cover and its conditions before booking.

Which customs documents do I need?

The documents required depend on the destination, contents and purpose of the shipment. Please confirm the requirements with us before dispatch.

Use our online customs invoice form to enter the sender and recipient details and describe each item accurately, including its quantity, condition, weight and value. The completed PDF is emailed to you and Delfast.

Check the PDF carefully and tell us about any errors. Depending on the route and goods, additional declarations, licences or certificates may be required. We will advise how the paperwork should accompany your shipment.

Can you store parcels before shipping them together?

Yes. We offer up to one week of free storage while you wait for other parcels to arrive, so they can be shipped together. Contact us first to agree the receiving location, parcel references and expected arrival dates.

If you need storage for longer than one week, contact us in advance to confirm availability and any additional charges.

Once the parcels have arrived, we can discuss combining or repacking them and confirm the shipping quote.

Are there parcel weight or size limits?

Weight and size limits depend on the route, carrier and service. Send us the weight in kilograms and the length, width and height in centimetres of every parcel, including all packaging.

For heavy, bulky or unusually shaped items, contact us before packing or arranging collection so we can confirm a suitable shipping option.

Both weight and size can affect the quote. There is no single limit that applies to every service; we will confirm the applicable limits for your shipment.

Can you forward my UK online purchases overseas?

Yes. We can arrange onward shipping of UK purchases. Contact us before placing your orders so we can agree the receiving address, delivery references, storage arrangements and any checks or repacking you need.

Tell us what you are buying and where it will be sent. Some products are restricted or unsuitable for air freight, including items containing batteries.

When your parcels are ready, we will confirm the shipping arrangements and quote. You will also need to provide accurate contents and values for the required customs paperwork.

What items are not accepted?

We do not accept batteries, perfume, spray bottles or aerosols. Our battery restriction includes power banks, loose batteries and batteries fitted inside devices.

Other goods may be prohibited or restricted by the carrier or destination country. Tell us about liquids, chemicals, medicines, food or any other goods requiring special handling before booking.

Please describe the contents accurately and do not send an item until we have confirmed acceptance. These are Delfast’s acceptance conditions; dangerous-goods transport rules may allow some items only under specialist arrangements.

Can you collect my parcel in the UK?

Collection can be arranged, subject to the location and available service. Include the collection postcode, parcel count, packed weights and dimensions in your quote request so we can confirm the options and cost.

If you prefer to drop parcels off, contact us first to agree the receiving location and arrangements. See our contact details.

How do I request a shipping quote?

Complete our quote request form with the collection and destination details, contents, and the weight and dimensions of each packed parcel. You can add more than one parcel.

We will review the details and email you a personalised quote. Please tell us about fragile, bulky or unusual goods and any collection or packing help you need.

Before booking, check the service, estimated delivery time, quote validity and included charges. A quote request does not automatically book a shipment.

Quotations are valid for one week from their issue date. If your contents, packed measurements or route change, please ask us to update the quotation before booking.

How long will delivery take?

Delivery time depends on the destination, service and when the goods are ready for dispatch. Ask us for the estimated transit time for your shipment when requesting a quote.

Flight or courier schedules, customs checks, missing paperwork and local delivery arrangements can affect timing. An estimate is not a guaranteed delivery date unless a specific guarantee has been agreed in writing.

If you have a deadline, tell us before booking so we can discuss suitable options.

Will I have to pay customs duties or other charges?

Import duties, taxes and customs-clearance or handling charges may apply at the destination. The amount depends on the goods, declared value and local rules.

Before booking, ask us to confirm what the shipping quote includes, any known additional charges and who will pay destination charges. Do not assume that duties and taxes are included in the transport price.

Declare the contents and values accurately. Describing a shipment as a gift or sending used goods does not automatically make it exempt from charges.
